I've discovered eight elderberry bushes last year and made about eight gallons of elderberry oxymel juice last year.  This year I discovered there are two additional bushes, but not on the island.  These are on Kingfisher Lane.

My friend with lots of nettles in her yard lets me come over and harvest them every year before she mows them. This year she mowed most of them but left the edge for me. They were healthy looking tall plants I should steam them and freeze them this year ( Read more... )
